Review: LeoVince LV One Evo for KTM 990 Adventure R (2010) – A Fantastic Exhaust That Shouldn’t Be Discontinued
LeoVince LV One Evo for KTM 990 Adventure R (2010) – A Fantastic Exhaust That Shouldn’t Be Discontinued
After months of searching far and wide, I finally managed to source a pair of LeoVince LV One Evo exhausts for my 2010 KTM 990 Adventure R from a seller in Italy. Given that LeoVince discontinued this model two years ago, finding a new set was no easy task. But was it worth the effort? Absolutely.
Performance & Sound
Right out of the box, the build quality is exactly what I expected from LeoVince—solid construction, premium materials, and an excellent finish. Once installed, the bike’s character completely transformed. The LV One Evo gives the 990 Adventure R a deep, refined growl without being obnoxious, striking the perfect balance between performance and sound. The weight savings over the stock exhausts are also a noticeable improvement.
Why Discontinue a Great Product?
This brings me to my biggest frustration: why discontinue a product that still has demand? The KTM 990 Adventure R has a dedicated following, with many owners keeping these bikes in top shape for adventure riding or as collector’s pieces. A high-quality aftermarket exhaust like the LeoVince LV One Evo is a sought-after upgrade, yet it has become increasingly difficult to find.
Instead of fully discontinuing models, I believe LeoVince should consider an on-demand production model for their discontinued exhausts. Vintage and adventure bike owners often look for premium exhaust systems, and there is still a strong market for well-made, performance-focused options. A system where batches are produced based on demand would keep the LeoVince brand in these spaces without excess stock concerns.
Final Thoughts
The LV One Evo is an outstanding exhaust, both in terms of performance and aesthetics. It’s frustrating that it took such a long search to find one when there are clearly still riders willing to pay for premium quality. LeoVince has a reputation for excellence, and I hope they reconsider their approach to discontinuing exhausts for bikes that remain popular in enthusiast and collector circles.
If you’re lucky enough to find a set, don’t hesitate—this exhaust is worth every cent.
