Bittersweet feeling for the Leopard Racing after smelling the podium

Spaniard Jaume Masia crosses the line the 3rd but a penalty given due to exceeding track limits relegates him to the 4th position. Teammate Dennis Foggia clinches 9th position after a big comeback from the 19th spot of the grid.

What a pity! After having the riders fighting as lions throughout the whole race, the Leopard Racing has to swallow the 4th position of Jaume Masia. The Spaniard started from the 6th place of the grid and didn’t do the perfect start, but anyway, as the laps went by he recovered positions, even got the lead of the race and imposed his pace. Masia seemed to be comfortably matched to his bike, both him and his beauty machine looked as a missile. Even when riders overtook, they appeared daring and super strong. Jaume was fighting with the front group and swapping positions, and in the last lap, when he placed himself the third, another rider forced him to exceed the track limits. After the end of the race he was given a penalty. Jaume Masia has finished the 4th at the Grand Prix of Qatar. On the other side of the box, things haven’t been easy but we are proud of our Italian rider too. Dennis Foggia started the race from the 19th spot of the grid and made a huge comeback until getting to the front group. Foggia fought for podium chances, was fast and determined and made clear the potential he’s got with the Leopard bike. Finally, he’s finished the 9th.

After today’s results, the Leopard Racing is the third team on the standings with 20 points and this is just the first race of the season. Being this the first race of both riders with their new bike and new bike, we can be quite happy. What is clear is that our riders are strong and the bike is super fast (the second fastest of the weekend, after having set 246.0 km/h yesterday). Now we pack everything and according to current calendar, next race will be in Austin the 5 of April! Remember: when in doubt, #BeLe0pard.
